Root canal treatment is a procedure that most of you have probably already undergone. And it is this treatment that many people are very afraid of. Yet, it is often the only way to relieve the sufferer of pain and save the tooth at the same time. But with us, you have nothing to worry about.
The key is good anaesthesia and careful work, preferably with a microscope.

The essence of the treatment is to remove the inflamed tooth pulp from the root canals and fill them with suitable material.
Such a tooth “without nerves” no longer hurts, and after strengthening with a suitable crown, it can perform its function for life, like other teeth.
The principle of the treatment is clear: Clean the canals and fill them well. Unfortunately, the practice is somewhat more complicated due to nature.
Most teeth have multiple canals (front teeth 1-2, small molars and canines 1-3, molars 3-5).
Thus, the further back, the more complex the canal system and the less space and light.
The canals are often strongly curved, thin or partially impenetrable.

Successful root canal treatment is very time-consuming and technically demanding.
It often takes two hours and involves many special root canal instruments that are used only once.
We use several very expensive instruments for treatment, including a microscope. Therefore, it is not surprising that a carefully performed endodontic treatment is also somewhat more costly. However, it is about saving the tooth, and that is worth it. A reliably filled tooth will be a solid pillar for many years to come, on which, for example, a ceramic bridge costing tens of thousands will be supported. If you skimp on treatment and the tooth fails, you lose the entire precious dental bridge.
